چکیده

Cementitious and recycled materials that have the potential to improve various properties of concrete attracted attention many researchers recently. Different types cementitious seem possess certain unique change cement concrete. This experimental study aims investigate impact ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) corn cob ash (CCA) as a partial replacement material for Portland (PC) fine aggregate (FA), respectively, on fresh hardened properties, well embodied carbon The mix was blended with 5–20% GGBFS 10–40% ash, both individually combined. A total 300 specimens were made achieve targeted strength 25 MPa at 0.50 water/cement ratio cured 28 days. It is observed workability lowered dosages CCA increase in mixture. Moreover, compressive split tensile strengths are augmented by 10.94% 9.15%, 10% weight PC Similarly, 11.62% 10.56%, 30% FA combined use ingredient along replaced provides highest splitting strength, 16.98% 13.38% days, respectively. Furthermore, density water absorption reduced increasing In addition, energy also content increased concluded optimum percentages structural applications reduce cost project.

“Ground Granulated Blast Slag (GGBS) In Concrete – A Review”

Concrete is a mixture of cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and water. Concrete plays a vital role in the development of infrastructure Viz., buildings, industrial structures, bridges and highways etc. leading to utilization of large quantity of concrete. On the other side, cost of concrete is attributed to the cost of its ingredients which is scarce and expensive, this leading to usage o...
